Week 8 Q2
Dear families,
As we approach Thanksgiving, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you. It has been a joy to watch your children grow and thrive in our classroom. Their laughter, curiosity, and kindness brighten each day, and I am so thankful for the opportunity to be a part of their learning journey.
Wishing you and your family a warm and joyful Thanksgiving filled with love and gratitude.
With appreciation,
Mrs. Bernal
Notes:
- Our cumulative Spalding Phonogram Test will start on Monday December 2nd and will last for 10 days. Keep practicing the single letter phonograms and all the two letter phonograms. As I mentioned before, the best way to practice is you saying the phonogram (all sounds), and students writing the phonogram without looking at the flashcard.
- We will assess students on their sight words the next two Wednesdays. Remember the minimal benchmark/goal for this quarter 36 words, but the sky is the limit!
- DIBELS standardized test will be conducted the next two weeks. This is a one on one test and it takes around two weeks to assess all students.
- Routines at home, staying healthy, eating well, and proper rest will help your child perform at their best. If possible, please try to avoid any doctors appointments these weeks.
- Field trip information coming soon!
