Week 9 Q

Dear families, Please enjoy your Spring Break! Students deserved a restful break after this quarter. Enjoy the weather and your time together! Stay healthy and safe. With appreciation, Mrs. Bernal What we learn this week! Spalding:   We reviewed the 70 phonograms. Students used their pink notebook to write their new spelling words/sight words ( had, over, must, make ). Please continue reviewing the 70 phonograms in preparation for first grade and cumulative test for fourth quarter. You can drill 10 at a time orally, but must important, you say the sounds and the student will write the phonogram without looking at the card. Reading reminders: Your child should read to an adult as daily homework. Practice sight words as daily homework. Assessments on Wednesdays. Minimal goal by the end of fourth quarter, master 100 sight words. (5 sight words a week), but the sky is the limit! Literature:  Our poem this week is “Little Boy Blue”.
